The NSF Grants Conference will reconvene at the Philadelphia Marriott Old City in historic downtown Philadelphia, where some of the country’s most iconic destinations, including the Liberty Bell and National Constitution Center, are within walking distance. Other historic sites and museums, trendy restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries are also an easy walk from the hotel.

A room block with a special group rate has been reserved at the Philadelphia Marriott Old City from Sunday, June 2 – Thursday, June 6, at a rate of $219 per night plus state and local taxes. A link to book a room as part of the group block will be provided when registration opens on March 6, 2024.   

Attendees are encouraged to make hotel reservations immediately after receiving their conference registration confirmation. Room reservations must be made no later than Monday, May 13, 2024, to receive the group rate.  

Philadelphia Old City

Transportation and Parking Information

Transportation

Airport – Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is about 9 miles (14 kilometers) from the venue and is the most convenient and accessible option.  

Taxi & Ride-sharing services – Taxi and ride-sharing services are readily available at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and provide a convenient and direct way to get to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. The estimated fare is around $25-35, depending on vehicle type, traffic, and demand. Typical drive times from Philadelphia International Airport to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City are 20 – 25 minutes. 

Public Transportation – The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) provides train service between Center City and the airport on the Airport Regional Rail Line. Trains run every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on weekends. Three SEPTA bus routes also serve the airport. Payment for all transit modes can be made with a SEPTA Key card.
